Hello

In the past a lot of our travelling staff have used services such as Compuserve and AOL as they offer a ease of use when connecting to the Internet from different countries in the world whilst keeping call costs at local charges (in most cases)

We have recently upgraded all of our Laptop's and are now running Windows 2000 pro, to my horror Compuserve will not work very succesfully on this platform as it is unable to auto create a dialer - meaning that for each destination that one of our guys are to travel to we have to try to preconfigure a "dial-up" which often does not work...

I do not know if AOL has the same problem - but would appreciate any advice that anyone has regarding Compuserve/AOL running on Windows 2000,

Graham

Cant say Ive used AOL with 2000...(Im in Ireland, and we have IOL). But thats ok...
What if the travelers were to use Yahoo to check their other mail, this can be done in the options of their Yahoo account, if they have one!! They can check their mail, but can only send with a @yahoo.com domain unfortunatly. But this works good if they only want to check mail... Jay~

The main problem that we have is "internet connectivity"
our users travel oversea's and like to connect via their Laptop's - so what we need is a service that is pretty straight forward to configure and will work in most of europe/US/middle and far east - I beleive that most large hotels are starting to provide some form of internet access (cafe style) which would be ideal if we could depend on it - but in the mean time I think that resolving the Compuserve issue is our main goal.
