Is there anything built into Exchange to send an email to users as their password is about to expire?

no, Active directory does not work that way.

Have a look at the shop @ !

why would you want it to send them an email, thought it prompted you everytime you logged on counting down from 12 days?

In reply to the last two: Sending an email is very useful in our environment where 50% of our users are remote and we have a large number of linux & OSX users who never login to the domain, hence they aren't aware of password expiration until it's too late.

If they never login, then why do they have an account or why would it expire ?!? ...

spackle: brilliant! This will fit the bill nicely. Would have liked it if Outlook or Active Directory had this as a built in feature, but this is VERY useable.

For anyone who is concerned, the reason we are not relying on the domain notification during login is that most of the users never log into or participate in the domain. All users are remote, typically on customer sites, and don't have access to the domain or the local network. The connection is being made through RPC over HTTP.

Thanks again spackle for the pointer to the tool. It was a GIANT help!
