Email Notification in Access

Hi,

Please could someone advise if there is a way for an email being recieved in outlook 2000 to trigger an automatic update into an access table.

I am looking for a particular word in the email to cause an access table to update with that days date.

If this is not possible in Access, is it possible in Excel?

Any help or sugestions you can provide would be much appreciated.

Maybe you can use these procedures as a starter,

From Acc:

Email subjectline to access tables

From Ol:

Exporting Outlook Email Subjects including date and time

There's obviously some modification required.

Put code into Ql macro.
Once you've got it running properly, use the Rules Wiz to call macro.

Please note: The Rules Wiz is a guess and I'm not sure if it works.

Having a backup of the *.pst file (also consider exporting accounts to *.iaf)
is always a good idea, even more so when you run any code.
