In the Exchange 5.5 / NT4 environment a client of mine had, an e-mail would be generated and distributed to a list when someone added a new appointment to a public calendar folder. They did not have to "invite" anyone for this to happen.

I do not know how they were doing it, though I assume it was some kind of custom script. Their old servers were decommissioned and Exmerge was used to relocate their mailboxes and public folders to the new Exchange 2000 server.

Does anyone know how this email notification is done and where I might find a script or anything else that could reproduce this?

Thanks!
