i have been experimenting with notification options in Outlook for when new mail arrives and especially the one to display a message asking if you want to read new mail now. I have tried to set this on, but when I am working in another application and Outlook is in the background or minimised, the notification box does not pop up at the front of the screen. Instead it sits behind another applicaiton and just flashes on the taskbar which is where I have to look to notice it is there.

I have seen this option on my friend's computer only his comes on top of all his other windows when he is working so he can see it. The only difference between our computers as far as I can tell is that I use Win2000 and he uses Win98.

Does anyone have any ideas why my notification box behaves in this way?

Thanks.

Stuart
