Hi

I have also been asked to set up a batch email system for invoices. I am using Access reports to display the many different invoices prior to printing or emailing.

I then want to email each page of the invoice to the right person. Is this possible in access, and if so how?

Regards

It is possible. It can be a little time consuming to set up but the results are worthwhile. I compile shipment details for 42 stores a day and send a manifest via email to 3 recipients at each store, each day. It took abt 2 hours to set up but now what once took an hour a day is as simple as clicking one button on the switchboard.

Once you have set up the layout in a report, create a Macro to
a.) Select the report - or invoice by querey filter
b.) Select email format for output
c.) Enter recipient email addresses in the Macro as well as any standard message to appear in the email body.

There are a few shortfalls however, one is the limited file output formatting. ie it outputs in RTF format which only sends text not all the nice boxes and any logo's you may have embedded.

To overcome this you may look at sending access view software (Avail from to your clients and sending in Access Report format. This will ensure that what you see on your screen with all formatting, is what your client will see.

Btw, a separate macro, just to hard print the reports will allow you to view them prior to sending them

Drop me a line if you have problems with this
