This thread came about because of a discussion in a past thread I posted.

I technically have three email servers. I have two exchange servers and one linux (scalix) server.

Here is the scenerio and problem.
Email comes into our company and goes to the exchange server that hold accounts for the VP's of the abc.com domain. Email also comes into out company (different IP) and goes to the exchange server that hold accounts for the VP's of the xyz.com domain. We now have a unix server that holds employee accounts for both abc and xyz domains.

I have exchange setup to forward ALL UNDELIVERABLE messages to the scalix box and I have the scalix box setup that only undeliverable messages intended for xyz.com get forwarded to xyz domain and only undeliverable messages intended for abc.com get forwarded to abc exchange.

I believe that I when I turn this on in production it will cause a major email loop for and email in the abc or xyz domain that is truefully invalid. I am right?

Does anyone have any better ideas on how to set this up. I can make the incoming emails goto scalix first then have scalix perform the domain forwards, but then when a vp on the exchange box tries to email an employee on the abc or xyz domain, how do I get exchange to send the message to scalix and not cause a loop?

Is the best option to put all the servers in one org and have exchange perform the tasks automatically? If so how do you do that?

Please help.

Thanks
Glen
