Email is greyed out in OE6

Hello all!

I have a user running win98 and OE6. She says her emails turn blue when she clicks on them but when she dble clicks to open them they grey out. She's had a couple of other problems over the last couple of days. She has a "window enhancer" page that pops up when she tries to go to a webpage and something in add/remove called IEWin-Enhancer. Also when she tried to update her mcafee scan, there was an error and she had to reinstall it. I don't know if all this is related or not. I thought it was possibly spyware but spybot didn't find it. Was also thinking about a possible virus. I just don't know, this is out of the range of what we do.

It does sound like some sort of add-on program. Have you checked what the client has in the startup folder or in the RUN keys in the registry. You will probably find that enhancer program sitting in there somewhere. Thsi could be compromising OE6.
