Is it possible to email a form with the results displaying like the user field the text boxes. Or can you only email the results of a form.

You can send an html email in which you construct and populate the embedded form.

Not the most friendly thing to do but it is doable, I've had clients have me do this for them.

Thank you for your help. It sounds like this is more work than I want to do. Thanks.

if you use cgi.pm to make the form
the same form template can be used with
mail::sendmail as a embedded html

I have a department that deploys this type of thing
pretty easy if you have any experience with cgi.pm

Please use Net::SMTP rather then Mail::Sendmail. In the long run it will make your system much more maintainable and in 6 months when you change webhosts you won't be coming back and asking 'My email script broke!' ;)

I agree with siberian! His constant insistance of this caused me to make the switch and, after a couple of fits and starts, I would much rather use NET::SMTP than sendmail. It really is easier to maintain and is far more robust than sendmail. Even my web host agreed that it was a better choice as far as they were concerned. At the very least, give it a try... you won't be sorry!

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

A convert! Hooray!

:)

Thanks tviman, its good to know that people are making the switch. I'm like a missionary with this Net::SMTP thing :)
