I am trying to encrypt emails in Outlook but I keep getting the following error message: "Your digital ID name cannot be found by the underlying security system"
I have googled the error message and for the most part they say the same thing...that it is either a corrupt certificate or it is a public key issue.
my set up:
Outlook 2003
Microsoft CA (online and published to AD)
The certificate is still valid and shows up in AD (AD USers and Computers). I tried reinstalling it but no change. I exported the public keys of two users and manually installed them but no change. I created a contact in Outlook and imported the certificate to it but no change. I am able to send digitally signed emails w/o issues. Users are using those certs with wireless currently without problems. The certificate is enabled to be used for secure emails.
what could be wrong? I swear at point this set up worked but I hadn't tried it for awhile.
