Hi Team.

Is there any ways to upload emails to OTCS programmatically(using content web services or Rest API ) such that they appear similar to when uploaded using Enterprise Connect (Email services module)?

Following are the features available on emails uploaded using EC
•Email tab in the properties functions menu
•Ability to view attachments from the functions menu of an email
•Ability to view email metadata in the browse section of the UI, on storing it in an email folder

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mahesh

A few years back you posted a similar question The only good news is OT now has a Public REST API for this I think only in the latest and greatest version 16
Otherwise the replies that I did and Paul did is still valid. You will have to write or pay somebody to code this for you.
All coding in OT ends in the Oscript layer that is what developers like me can see and do.So whether you say you extended SOAP(WS API.CWS) or you extended REST you can only do this in the Oscript layer(debugger+IDE)
If you can find old lapi binaries I think it supported email subtype but again email has so much been re vamped in new code you will probably miss all the good features.
I wrote OI extensions once in 2012 and once in 2017 it was rather easy because I know oscript , and my task was easy because it was a livelink to livelink migration.
I don't think it would have been easy if I had to look at eml header data because without MAPI programming it probably would'nt have been possible.
I also think that if you use Fiddler and monitor how EC sends the payload to Livelink you might be able to send the same load pro grammatically because most of the
EC is the pre-cursor to the new REST API.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
