Email dragged to outlook today, gone! 1

Hi all,

One of my users has decided to drag her emails from her inbox to the shortcut icon for outlook today. It moved them there but where have they gone???

Not in inbox, outbox, sent items, deleted items, can't find them anywhere. She said the office assistant had told her to do it!! Likley story I know.

Hi Iainwatt

Take a look at Outlook Todays properties on the home page tab. There should be a location under there, ie c:/whatever, take a look in that directory.

Thread605-751315 worked a treat thanks Just needed to untick the homepage bit and it worked just like a normal mail folder.

You may have found this by now but hear you go anyway. If you right click Outlook Today, select Advanced Find and then press "Find Now" you will see a list appear at the bottom.

I have not been able to determine the hiding place specifically but from there you can redirect the messages.

Yeah all done Thread605-751315 did the trick.

Don't need to do a find or anything like that just untick the homepage bit and it worked just like a normal mail folder.


Then you can drag and drop the mail into your inbox again.
