Email disappearing in Exchange 5.5

I'm running exchange 5.5 SP4 and have users useing Outlook 2k in a citrix session to check email.

Now the Citrix session times out after 45 min of inactivity. Now if the user leaves outlook open and the session times out. The email that was selected disappears.

Also we have had a couple user getting email messages as new email that are 4 months old.

Any ideas?
