For my subject you can guess I am having an attachment
issue.
One user here is trying to use a distribution list to send
an email out to some people with an Excel 2000 spreadsheet
attached. The system is Windows 2000 system. We are
using Exchange 2000 and Server 2000 on the servers.
If the distribution list has 6 people on it, 4 of them
will not recieve the attachment, 2 will. The spreadsheet
as I said is Excel 2000 format, and it has also been tried
as being saved as excel 97 format which didnt help to send
it. If the spreadsheet is forwarded over to a different
user within the company and they send out the spreadsheet
to the same 6 people as the original person was trying,
all 6 will get the attachment. So the problem is with one
persons machine here within this company.
I have checked this users account to make sure nothing in
the properties of the account would cause this, but I cant
find anything that could be a problem.
What else could be doing this and causing the problem? I
am very confused as to why it would happen with just one
user, who has the same setting as another user who does
not have a problem.
I have also tried sending a different spread sheet from this users pc and the attachment works fine. So could the attachment thats causing the problem be corrput in some way?
