Email and Delivery Receipt

I'm using ASP.NET to send emails. I'm using Exchange as my SMTP server. I'm using all the correct code to do this and it is working well.

What I need to do is to somehow get a delivery receipt from the recipient's email server sent back to the person whose name is the sender of the email. I've looked in several places and cannot find anything that comes close to this. Is this even possible? Will I need to do some manipulation with an Exchange (Outlook) public or private folder to make this happen?

I'm open to any possibilities.
