email an attachment from AIX

AIX: I have a CSV attachment and would like to send it to my email address. I tried the following and it didnt send it as an attachment.

mailx user@domain.com < filename.csv
 
try:

uuencode filename.csv filename.csv | mailx -s "Some Subject Line" user@domain.com

sjm2, the URL you provide is not really a google search, it just points to a similar question on E-E, but you need to be/become a member to see the solution.

The question has been answered before quite a few times. But it is not an AIX question, it is a shell scripting question. Using the SEARCH button on forum822 with keyword [tt]attachment[/tt], I get 15 hits already!

Chances are a Google search will also get you right back into TT (or some other forum).

a simple Google search URL can be built using TGML code (on Tek-Tips:
[tt][ignore][google]shell script email attachment[/google][/ignore][/tt]
which becomes
[google]shell script email attachment[/google]
which is really this
