I am trying to create an email alias in Exchange so that a user can have incoming emails forwarded to them with two different email addresses. They will have the same domain name. Anyway when I try to do this only the primary works. Is there something im doing wrong?

In Active Directory User and Computers, go to user, go to Email addresses and add a new one.

What are the addresses?

Case 1:

user@mydomain.com and first.last@mydomain.com.

Both addresses are in the same domain. Just add the second address.

Case 2:

user@domainone.com and user@domaintwo.com

Both address are in different domains. You need to add a recipient policy for the second domain in order to accept delivery for it. You need to have a mx record in external DNS for the second domain. Then just add the second address to the user.
