Email alerts have stopped working after display name change.

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help with a strange problem concerning email alerts. Basically, everything was working fine until we changed the display names of all our mailboxes after a company merger. This included the mailboxes set as the recipients of the alerts, and the mailbox used to actually send them. I have been through all the settings in ArcServe changing these, and I can send test emails from the Alert Manager fine, but it still fails when sending the actual alerts with the message…

“Failed to send email (-2147221233)”

I have looked up that error (MAPI_E_NOTFOUND) but the accounts certainly do exist so I don’t know why they wouldn’t be found. Also, it is only the display name that has changed, not the alias, and I have re-entered them all in ArcServe anyway.

I have tried stopping and starting the alert service to no avail.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Many thanks!
