We're currently using IM 5.5 and I can find no way to send an email alert for a power out condition via our email server, which is Lotus notes. What we want to send an email alert to several IT people after a prolonged power out condition is detected. Although our systems are all on UPS and set to shutdown gracefully, we would like to be alerted to this condition when out of the office. How can I accomplish this?

We have the same situation with Notes 5.0.5. You need to enable the smtp service on one of your notes servers, do this in the server doc in the address book under basics:

SMTP listener task: Enabled
