Email Alert Application

Hi!,

I am trying to develop an Email Alert Application. I am using Netscape Messaging server (version 4.0) on Solaris . I want to send the alert to the person as and when any message arrives in the mail box. Can somebody help me in developing this application. I am interested in knowing in which event shall I put the code to send the SMS Message the mobile.

Have you thought about writing a shell script using sendmail to do this? I would post this question under sendmail or solaris and see what response you get.
