Email Addys in WL Contacts Reappear After Deleting

Windows Live Contacts has been a thorn in my side since I converted over to WLM from OE last summer.

I have 6 Hotmail accounts 1 GMail & 2 Comcast accounts configured in WLM (version 2008 Build 12.0.1606).

I ONLY use WL Contacts for names & email addresses. I do not use any other fields.

I've been updating / changing / deleting email addresses only to find hours (minutes!) later that the changes are gone and the old email addresses are back. (!!) I finally figured out that it was pulling information from the
different contact lists within each account. Or so I thought.

Last week I logged in to all 9 accounts via webmail and completely deleted ALL saved contacts. I then started fresh. Assuming that the only names & email addresses I would ever see again would be the new information I was
putting in. WRONG. I just logged in to WLM this morning to find that old / bad email addresses are appearing once again!!!!

I don't understand. WHERE IS IT GETTING THESE EMAIL ADDRESSES?

In case anyone encounters the same issue I got the cause & fix (thanks MS Newsgroups!):

Windows Live Mail version 12 was the culprit. I upgraded to version 14 & the 'reappearing' email addys happened no more!
