I'm creating my first database and using Access 2003 for Dummies as a guide.

When entering an email address into a form, it is interpreted as a website. (http:CorBlimeyLimey@.....) The dummies book tells me I have to manually change that to mailto:CorBlimeyLimey@....

Is that the only method? I can't believe that MS Access does not recognise an email address as an email address ???

[Cheers]

In my opinion, you should not use the Hyperlink datatype.
Use text, it's fairly easy then to decide in code what to add.
