email add. aren't automatically populating w/o restarting the server

When migrating an account or creating a new one in Exchange Server 2003 in (ADUC) Active Directory Users and Computers the email addresses tab is supposed to automatically populate with the correct email addresses, but for some reason it won't. The only way to get it to work is by restarting the server. Does anyone have any ideas....

I'd guess it's related to this:

I don't see the fix for E2K3, so you'll have to call M$ for that.
