email a file as an attachment in aix

Hello,
I am writing a script that will send out an email every night to an email address. The person receiving the email will see it in Outlook. When I send the file, it puts the file in the body of the email. I want it to appear as a seperate text file attachment that can be opened as such.

you can use uuencode to create an email with an attached file, in fact the uuencoded version of the file is in the body of the email (as is allways the case), but email client programs like outlook shows it as an email with a file attached.

look up uuencode man page to find out how
