Hi,

I have a problem wherby my eMac (OSX 10.3.9) at home will not mount my USB flash drive or the Lexar memory module in my Casio digital camera.
In both cases, they both are visible in the System Profiler but the USB dongle does not appear in Disk Utility. Up to about a week ago the USB dongle mounted on my eMacs desktop and when I connected the Casio camera, iPhoto would open automatically too.
If I connect the same USB flash drive and also the camera to my work PowerMac G4 (OSX 10.3.x) the flahs drive mounts and the cameras Lexar memory card also mounts. iPhoto also opens when the camera is attached.
I may be wrong but I think this problem may have started not long after I downloaded the latest security update and OSX 10.3.9 update, although I tested my equipment on another eMac running 10.3.9 and it worked fine.

Any help would be much appreceiated.
Thanks.

You're probably right on the money about the upgrade causing the problem. If either of your devices came with a driver, go to the manufacturer's site and see if the have an upgrade for 10.3.9. If not, try reinstalling the driver that came with the device.

When installing any driver, make sure the device is either connected r not connected - per the maker's install instructions.

With the machine running, try unplugging the usb device and plug back in.
