I have worked in MS SQL2000 environment and have extensively used Enterprise Manager to connect to SQL2000 databases, both locally and remotely.

Will Microsoft's EM connect to Oracle? If not, is there a Oracle equivalent of EM available and where do I get it from?

Thanks
Mickey Shekdar

Not from EM but I can tell you one work around.
1. From Start-->Run-->type MMC
it will open up a new window just like EM, MMC is actually a (Microsoft Management Console).
2. File -> Add/Remove Snap-in
3. Click "Add" Button
4. Select "Oracle Managed Objects"
5. Close the window and you will see this object being added.
6. Under "Oracle Managed Objects" you should see a node "computers" , just connect to the computer where your Oracle is installed and then you will see Oracle Database is being one node.
7. right click "database" and connect and once you give username/password, you are ready to use Oracle within Microsoft Managment Console.

Hello Data Sheet!

Thanks for your reply... 'Oracle Managed Objects' is not listed in the options I can add.

I am using XP Pro

Thank you
