Hi,
I don't know what's wrong after the IE7 updated in the SQL Server 2000 w/ Windows Server 2003.

There is a error message every time I open the EM.

An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line : 307
Char : 2
Error: Unspecified error.
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\Program%20Files\Microsoft%20SQL%20Server\80\Tools\Binn\Resources\1033\sqlmmc.rll/Tabs.html

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

I tried Yes and No already, but it is still running the error message.
Anyone can help?
Thank you.

IE7 is bad......you should not have installed it. It's very buggy. At my company we have it blocked from our update server. All kinds of applications were failing because of it.

Uninstall IE7.

Don't use taskpad view. Switch to another view.

I don't think it's an IE7 problem.
It's a bug in EM that's been around a while.

To work around, answer yes or no to the prompt.
Right-click on database View -> (pick anything other than TaskPad)
Right-click on database View -> pick TaskPad. Now it works.

You will have to do this in every database when you want to use taskpad. As far as I know, there is not permanent fix.

Robert,

Yes this is a problem in Enterprise Manager and it happens SOMETIMES. However, on one server where we accidentally installed IE7, it began happening ALL the time until we uninstalled IE7. Then it went back to just every now and then.

Sometimes uninstalling IE7 wasn't enough. One server required a rebuild.

Yes, I tried the method Robert suggested. It works no problem afterward, but I am just thinking is there any way I can fix it. It seems like it has been for quite sometimes. But I strongly believe it is the IE7 caused the problem in my case since it never had the error message until I installed it.
Yes, I learned the lesson that I shouldn't install the IE7. Thanks all for reply.

It's a known problem that people have been seeing for years. It's probably actually got nothing to do with IE7, it probably just started about the same time.
