Hi,

Attemted to upgrade an ELU31/3 FW to CAA 158 0047 R6A as advised on the Asstra Knowledge Base. Something went wrong during the upgrade process and it failed after about 10 minutes. I get no response from a CNBIP, an RFBOI fails and the ID of the card is now 254, indicating to me that all FW is lost on the board. Is there any way to recover from this?

The board should revert to prom loader mode when a FW upgrade fails.
Try blocking the board and run the upgrade once more.

Etompau,

I have already tried that. Any attempt to reload will result in a board timeout. The board is longer seen by the system (BRDID=254). Moving the board to another BPOS and issuing a CNHUI results in no board found. A CNBOI results in a board faulty or board missing.
Is it possible to load the FW via the serial port on the front of the card?

I doubt it. As far as I remember the /1 and /2 boards had a serial port (apart from the debug port) for FW loading using a dedicated cable. I saw this when the board first was released in BC10.
Never used it though.
I guess you have to replace the board. Sorry.
