I have just inherited an Elite IPK. I have a manual but am still a Norstar guy. The teminology is what hangs me up. Basically I dont know what feature does what. My biggest problem at the moment is making the main phone of a hotel answerable at 3 other phones, so if it rings the others ring too. Onviously incoming lines ring but incoming extensions do not. I think on the Norstar I program a DND button on each phone fpr the main phone. Can anyone tell me what its called here or even better would be the codes...

Thanks Mike

Here it's called an SIE (call appearance) key (secondary incoming extension). You first need to find out what the port number is of the main phone. Press FNC (feature) + 4 at the main phone in the idle condition. The LCD should show the port and extension number. Next, go into the program mode (HOLD+#+0+*+8974). You need to place the SIE (port number of main phone) on a button of the other phones.
CMD 4-12, by telephone port, LXX (button number), LK 5 + SIE number of extension you want to appear.
EX: main tel port is 01. Ext 102 is port 02
CMD 4-12-L01 in the far left of the LCD is the port number.
EX: 01 - 4 - 12 - L01. Press CNF to advance to tel port 02
02 - 4 - 12 - L01, press LK 5 type 01, press TRF to write it. Main Tel port now appears on LK 01 of Tel port 02.
Ring assignment is similar in CMD 4 - 37 = day, 38 = night.
The TRF key writes data and advances to the next CMD not the next port. Use * + # keys to move cursor left or right.
