Hi,

I have a digital station on an Elite IPK system that requires you to push the 'answer' key to answer a call, and gets a busy signal whenever dialing 9 to grab the outside trunk.

We only have 1 trunk but I know it isnt busy because no one else is in the building and I can go to another station and place an outside call with no problems.

As mentioned in my previous post, I have very little experience with programming systems through a phone so please be specific with your response.

Thank you for any help you can provde!!

the first thing to do is to identify which system we are dealing with is it an IPK or IPK II? the following is for an IPK...

First identify the port you are dealing with... go to the trouble phone and press the Feature key then the number 4 you should get something like TEL01=100 write down the tel number not the extension number.

enter ppogrmming mode.. this can be found in a manual i wont give the sequence out in open forum...

once you are in programmig mode, press line key 4

the display will look like this 0 1 / 0 1 : R N G D Y | 0 1
take note if any lights are lit up and what button the light is on.

the first 01 representes the port you are programming

the second 01 represents the memory block you are in

press the conf button until the port number on the far left of the display matches the port number you got earlier by pressing feature 4.

now, using the * and # keys move to the memory block field and change it to 12.

the display should look like this 0 1 / 1 2 : L 0 1 = C O 0 1 or something similar
again the first number represents the port and the second number represents the memory block. the L01 is the line key and the info after the = is what is programmed there.
change the "L" inumber to the line key you want to put the trunk on then press line key 2 and change the number to what button was lit up earlier in the instructions (if the second button was lit enter 02) once you do this press transfer then speaker and test.

Hope you can muddle your way through with this...
