Client has an NEC Elite IPK with CPUI(300)-U10, which originally had a PRI installed and worked flawlessly.
Client was talked into converting to a Dynamic IP SIP Trunking arrangement. Since the date of the installation, the system has had erratic behaviour, DID numbers terminating incorrectly, problems with automated attendant ports locking up and most curiously a string of ????????????? in the display of the telephones in place of what should be the Caller ID.
Naturally the carrier says it is not their problem, so I plan on traveling to the site and placing a T-Berd 920 on the circuit to isolate the problem. I feel pretty confident that it is a carrier issue.
Has anyone had this problem anywhere else when using a circuit configured this way, also it is terminating from the carrier through a Cisco IAD. I am still trying to get the model and complete configuration from Paetec but it is not an easy task to accomplish.
Any help would be most GREATLY appreciated prior to "butting heads" with the carrier.
