Elite IPK analog extension and FAX

System is a Elite IPK with PRI. I connected a FAX machine to an anolog extension port. I can dial out but I cannot dial the FAX machine by extension, I just get a fast busy signal. I am in testing mode currently. Should I not be able to dial the extension and have the FAX pick up? Can't set up DIDs until I go back with a suitable programming phone.

Replace the fax with a 2500 set. If you can call it then it a fax issue. If not then it may be number plan related. That system did not stop you from double assigning extension numbers. Check through MB 4-10 and see if there are any double assignments. That could block incoming calls to that extension. If it works internally but not from the outside, then you may need to look at digit conversion. Check MB 1-1-21 + 1-1-22.

I was able to confirm all 4 analog extensions generate a fast busy if I dial them from another extension.
