WE ARE USING AN ELITE 48 CNF8 CARD AS A CONFERENCE CIRCUIT FOR A NEC 2000 PBX. OUTSIDE CALLS RING INTO TRUNK PORTS ON THE ELITE 48. INSIDE CALLERS (2000) CALL AN ANALOG EXTENSION HUNT GROUP WHICH ALSO RINGS IN ON ELITE TRUNK PORTS.THE 2 SYSTEMS ARE SIDE BY SIDE. ITS NOT WORKING WELL. LOW VOLUME BIGGEST PROBLEM. IF I HOOK UP PHONES DIRECTLY TO THE 48 ITS FINE. WOULD IT WORK BETTER IF I USED ANALOG PORTS ON THE 48 TO CONNECT TO TRUNKS ON THE 2000? HAS ANY BODY HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THIS CARD? CNF8. NEC TOLD US THAT THIS IS THE BEST CONFERENCE BRIDGE THEY HAVE.

First, next time you need a bridge just get a Confer III and be done with it.
The default settings for the analog ports and the trunks are not such that they are meant to be plugged directly into each other. On the IVS you can adjust the analog station DB a little (6db I think) in CM1309. I don't recall PAD adjustments on the Elite trunks, but there could be- check the programming manual and maybe even dip switches. Good luck.
