Eliminating flickering from a TImage control

Hello All ,

i'm making a program that needs to draw over a TImage component each second(using a TTimer) . I've got some flickering . Is there any way of elimintaing it or obtaning a TCanvas to draw lines over a TTabedPage Control ? I've tried with TPaintBox but it doesn't seems to work.
