Ok, another dumb question I know but... I just started using Flash 5 and I saw the Track As Menu.fla file and checked it out, being that I wanted to make a menu myself. Now, Ive torn the fla apart, changing things trying to understand how it works, But if you notice, the menu drops down 5 places. I tried to add one that, tried everything i could think of..But when my mouse clicks "Item 6" it doesn't do anything. It doesn't open the corresponding number. Kinda confusing. Any ideas?

Woo hoo im a member now..bump this back up maybe ill get an answer hehe

Very funny OldNewbie!

I am not expert myself and I have not looked at the fla file you are referring to but, I guess that you placed the additional option in the wrong frame.

To better troubleshoot this, edit the MC for this button, and click on hide later, one at a time, and see if you can find your missing button.

If missing button is in same layer as collapsed menu, then make sure they are in same frame(s).

Hope this helps!

Haha sorry, i am not a programmer, ,i just wanted to become a member in a hurry, and was flooded with all these questions. Anyway to change it?

I can Highlight the button, but when i click it, it doesn't go to the corresponding number. bTW...what does MC mean. Been seeing it everywhere

I cannot tell what you did with exact scince but it looks that you added a rectangle not exactly a symbol and you added it multiple times.

I fixed it and was able to have the About button work as the other five. This is what I did
a) enter MC edit mode for MC Menu: Menu Structure (open your library)
b) delete all rectangles on sixth position
c) clicked on fifth menu item to select it and CTRL-C and then CTRL-V
d) aligned copied (pasted) copy of menu item with others
e) with new menu item selected, right click and edit actions
f) in action script, change reference from 5 to 6

BANG! it worked!!!! :cool: KOOL, AIN'T IT?

Hope this helps;
