Does anyone have suggestions for resolving the fact that element requests from a web user get the same priority as any report SQL submitted based on the user group/role priority group?

Elements request should have a higher priority so as not to lock the browser up when waiting on a prompt if the current queues are full with active jobs.

Does anyone have a suggested deployment model for an organization with the following user groups: 2% desktop, 15% web analysts, remaining web view.
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

We had the same problem. The MSI Consultants had a piece of code that cause object browsing (prompts, elements etc) to be assigned to whatever you want. In our case, we assigned these types to High and allocated 15 high threads to be specifically for these.

The code is the code in tech note TN6100-7X0-0082 < > , which you can get from their knowledge base.

Hope this helps!

In MicroSTrategy 7i, element request is now a specific type of request that you can specify in your project prioritization. You can set them to be higher priority using the prioritization wizard. RMC on project, and select prioritization.
