Element Manager

Got a weird one. I can reach the webpage, telnet in and log into BCM Monitor, but I cant get into Element Manager.
When I click connect it comes up with "BCM Detector Can Not find 10.10.11.1" as if I have typed in the wrong IP Adress. Have tried with 3 different laptops which CAN connect to other BCM's

I have not typed in the wrong IP adress and have tried a power cycle

Can you ping 10.10.11.1? Have you download the element manger from the bcm your trying to connect to? Are you using a cross-over cable to connect directly to the bcm? Those are the things i would look for.

Yes I have done all the obvious things. I have been installing BCMs for 2 years now so I have checked all the basic stuff.

Check your JAVA level. 1.6 doesn't work for 3.X and I am beginning to believe it affects Elephant Mangler as well.

Java is good....have tried logging in with 3 other laptops I know work
