Has anyone had any issues with logging in to the BCM 3.0 with an Element manager downloaded from a lower level (ie 1.0)?

Just download and install the newer version from the 3.0 it should work with all of them.

yes. I always download a fresh version off all new releases and they also work on the old versions.

When you connect with the Element Manager it "looks" for updates. I would have imagined that it would upgrade the current Element Manager on the laptop. The issue was that it wasn't updating the EM.
When techs have multiple customers already set up in a EM, having to re-download EM and then re-set all of those customers into a "new" EM is a pain in the neck.
