Ive got 2 BCM 50 5.0's that I cannot access via element manager. I am able to access it via the web interface. It doesnt matter if I attempt to access it via the OAM port, or the LAN ports, the only access I can get it via the web interface, but that doesn't get me very far. These are suppose to be brand new systems that have never been used before. This is the first time I've attempted to access them.

What happens when you use EM
Does it say bad detector
or incorrect password

Do you even get this far.
when you get to web interface make sure you have cleared the Cache as you could be getting a page from your Laptop memory.

Can you get to the application page using the Default passwords

i figured it out. I had to uninstall EM from my PC and re-install it from the BCM's web page. The version (newest from Avaya) wouldn't work with these BCM's.

Thats strange.
Most old EM will allow you to aleast get access to the system
The main issue would be not being able to do line changes, extn functions,
as the timer icon would just hang.

Therfore you need the latest EM usually from a new system
Thes should be backward compatible

But at least you are now working.
