Element annotation

Hi All

I have some XSD schema files.I am not able to understand the use of <xsd:annotation> element in those files.

Can any one tell me what is the use of <xds:annotaiton> tag.??

An annotation is a note added to the XSD to help others understand what the node is for. They are skipped during the validation process.
