Hi,
I've just purchased a 2 port mini kvm switch (Goodway). I've never used a KVM switch before and have a bit of a problem.
I don't know how to switch between computers?. I've read the user manual over and over and can't find any useful info. I've also had a look at their website which to say is a little malnurished on the information side would be a definite understatement.
I've done some searching on the net and it seems that I have to use a hotkey to switch between the 2 computers. Both machines are relatively new XP Pro, do i have to configure the hotkey through some keyboard setting? or should it be available after simply booting up the 2 pcs?. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem, i'm sure most electronic KVMs work in a similar way (with hotkeys)?.

I'm really at a loss here and would appreciate any info.

Thanks in advance,
Niall

Can't speak for the Goodway KVM switch, but the hotkey for mine is to hit <Scroll Lock> twice in quick succession followed by either the <Up Arrow> or the <Down Arrow> key.

ROGER.

Roger,
Thanks for your help. Just a couple of minutes ago I got a mail back from Goodway suggesting hitting the scroll lock twice and then the channel number ie 1 or 2 or by just pressing the 'up' or 'down' arrow key.

I'm still looking at the user manual that came with the switch and still can't find any reference to this....most strange. It works now and that's all that matters :)

Thanks again,
Niall
