Hi everyone,

I have a Dell Trinition 19'' monitor. Recently I noticed some flickering in the top portion of it. I finally after a lot of time figured it was caused by my electrical alarm clock which is on top of it. I removed it and moved it to the side...all is fine now, except that I just noticed that if I move the alarm clock from it now the side of the screen (where the alarm is) become darker...

Question is simple, did I break my monitor or will I have to always have the clock there now...it kinda suck.

Move the clock! Somewhere in the set-up screen controls (or a seperate button), there is a provision for "Deguass". Push this button to remove the dis-coloration, this is what it is there for. It also occurs when the monitor is cold and the first time you turn it on.

Cool! So that's what degauss is for :)

Star for you! Thanks!
