Howdy!

OK. . .let me start by saying that I am flying by the seat of my pants in doing the admin of this system. I am more used to Avaya/Lucent and Nortel PBXs.

With that out of the way, let me give you the problem. I have two lines on my site that will ring and ring and not transfer to VM after X amount of rings. They will ring and ring forever in night mode without going to VM and in day mode they will ring way too many times before going back to the operator.

I know I caused this by changing a setting on the lines (one of them is mine) because I was experimenting ( I know, I know. . .whadda dope I am) with some settings on these lines with regard to call forwarding. being a forest for the trees kind of guy, I figured that it would natch be a system programming issue. Huh. When I found out that it was a simple Speaker - > 43 -> Dial Destination -> Speaker on the phone in question. . .you would of thought I would have changed the settings back while they were still fresh in my mind. Right. Did I mention that I can be a dope? I have been going through all of the telephone mode 4 settings on a line that I know works and found that all of the settings on the good line and the bad lines are virtually the same (excepting the obvious). BTW, I have to use the Multiline Term for programming as no PC was set up for programming.

So. . .if anyone is so inclined to help me out here, I would be most appreciative.

I have tried deleting the boxes and setting them to new. . .that did not work. Any insight to help me in the right direction would be great!

I'm a little confused here. By lines you mean extensions right? Or do you mean outside lines (CO lines, SBC lines, same thing.)

And can you explain what is suppose to happen in night mode and day mode.

BTW what's you voicemail extension.

By lines I do mean extensions. . .sorry, telecom is not the only thing I do, in fact it's not the primary thing I do at all. . .as if you couldn't guess. Anyhow, in day mode, the line is supposed to ring the default amount of times (I'm not sure what that is) and then go to VM. The same deal with night mode. 300 and 301 are our VM extensions.
