I have a CS1000E that I'm adding 3 new loops with the MGC card needing programming. The existing loops have a data cable going from each port on the MGC from the elan and tlan ports to a 24 port Cisco switch. Does anyone know if the ports on the Cisco switch need to programmed any special way? Nobody in the group knows what the Cisco login password is, and the only way to retrieve it is to power down the Cisco switch and go through a bootup sequence. But I can't do that because the Nortel switch supports a highly classified program.

The cisco would normally have 2 VLANs set up for the ELAN & TLAN, this would need assigning to new ports if you are adding new gateways, unless you know that some of the ports are already set up.
