eigrp and novell servers

We are in the process of installing 6513's in our network to replace our 5513's. We are also moving to eigrp, replacing rip. Problems start with Novell servers and btrieve and other database applications. On one 5500 connected to the new 6513 we were running only eigrp between the switches, Novell was slow. Started rip on the switches and all was well. I now that there are different settings needed for eigrp to handle ipx traffic. Anyone with so good basic configs to handle Novell and eigrp?

Yes,

Had problems with novell traffic when turning of Rip from the 5500. Enclosed is an example of how the 6500 msfc was configured. NOTE I had omitted the command

ipx router eigrp 100
network all

from the 5500. could see all novell servers from the 5500 with sh ipx servers.

so turning off RIP was when the problems started.?.?...And the servers were still available..When you did show ipx server were they being learned from RIP or EIGRP?...

by no means am i a Novell expert, but, one thing i noticed...not sure how much of a difference it would make though...IPX EIGRP does not support the ipx-output-sap filter command. You are going to have to use the distribute-sap-list # in|out command to control SAP advertisements. If you have the opporutnity try changing this and see what effect it has....(easier said than done - sometimes i forget that i spend most of my day in a lab )

Is the cause of slowness due to network congestion?. If not, do you know where the slowing down starts?
