Ehternet Adapter Performance Issue

Hi,
I replaced the 10mbs(8ef5) with a 10/100mbs(8f62) Ehternet Adapter. I set the media speed to 100_FULL_DUPLEX. The port is set to 100_FULL. However my performance does not appear any better. Any suggestions on finding the problem? Could it be a network issue?
The server is a RS6000-R40 with AIX 4.3.3.0.

Set it to auto_negotiate. The most likely cause of your problem is that the network switch you are plugged into is not set for 100M_Full_Duplex. Under AIX 4.3.3, the auto_negotiate function works well (far better than 4.2).
