Hi, about 6 or 7 years ago I had one customer with ISDN lines and EHDU, all the mid call features worked without issues.

recently a new customer with SIP Trunks asked me for this feature, they can login, dial out etc. but Mi Call features don't work.

System Option is configured correctly
COS for both the trunk and the user have the midcall feature allowed

Trunk service is set as trusted.

SIP Traces on the MBG for the SIP trunk show the DTMFs during the call.

Anything in the SIP Peer I need to look at?

Anything special that the SIP Trunk must support?

I see nothing in the CCS trace when the DTMFs are pressed.

Any ideas why this is not working?

I am thinking to raise a ticket with support.

cheers,

daniel

From SYSADMIN
EHDU calls over IP trunks use digit receivers on the gateway node, not those on the EHDU host node. If any node along the signalling path from the host node to the trunk connected to the EHDU is running an older revision of software, the user will not have access to the mid-call features.

•Mid-call features are supported over SIP trunks if the outbound proxy or session border controller supports KPML digit detection

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

In SIP PEER PROFILE KEY PRESS EVENT

we had some issues in AU with it - works for some SIp trunk providers but not for all

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

We have had some issues as well.....typically carriers supplying service through Metaswitch. Crazy thing was some days everything seemed to work OK other days we couldn't make it work at all.

Gents,

I have done this in the Key Press Event for the SIP Peer:

Allow Out Subscriptions for Remote Digit Monitoring -> YES
Request Outbound Proxy to Handle Out Subscriptions -> YES
KPML Transport -> UDP
KPML Port -> 5060

Now it's working, didn't have to change anything on the Border Gateway.

Cheers,

daniel
