Hi All,

I have a customer who is looking to purchase a Sonicwall NSA 2400, at the same time they are also about to have Ethernet First Mile (EFM) Installed - they have been advised that they will need either a Juniper SRX110 or Microtik routerboard 450G.

Rather than have hardware that may not be needed, is it possible to have the new EFM circuit installed directly into the Sonicwall?

I know you can have leased lines and ADSL circuits connected to the WAN ports.

Thanks in advance,

Andy

It depends on the handoff from your telco. If the handoff is copper Ethernet, then all you need is the Sonicwall. If you have to make some physical conversion like you would in traditional circuits like DSL, cable, T1, ATM, then you will have to have a device in front of the Sonicwall to make that translation over to copper Ethernet.
