Regarding items and how they are rang in, I am being tasked with creating a new items for EACH general type of pour for EVERY liquor in house for a client. For example, they pour 'Shots', 'Doubles', 'Martini Rocks', and 'Martini Up' and I have created each of these items for each Vodka. This is all in an effort to increase accountability in the PMix Report.
My question is this: How can I create the most efficient method to ring these in and make sense to the bartender without creating an item name that is potentially a bunch of abbreviations?
So far I have started with Smart Items/Select and have a list of the 4 modifiers as elements in a group and this works perfectly with one caveat - I quickly run out of room for a naming scheme. This is especially true when I apply this scheme to 'Margarita Frozen' and 'Margarita Rocks' for Milagro Barrel Select Reposado and don't have enough characters.
Is it possible to somehow use scripts to set a modifier based on the smart element chosen?
Thank you for any and all help!!
