I just took a look at various conditions for the 3 task types (with effort-driven on and off where applicable) and several conditions under each task, such as assigning two resources with different calendars to one task and so forth.
This has helped but I noticed that with the Fixed Duration Effort-Driven task type the effects of assigning a second resource change, depending on which resource was assigned first. Are any other tasks like this?
If anyone can give me a web page that discusses this and the other information that I've been working on here, please post it (if not, I might start to make one of my own).
I don't mind the formula D=W/U but getting an intuitive feel for what the different task types are good for and when effort driven should and shouldn't be used hasn't just fallen on me like a ton of bricks from looking at that formula. Please let me know if you agree examples and focus on task type use would be helpful for newbies like me.
Thanks all,
David.
